WHAT DO YOU DO WITH A B.A. IN ENGLISH/IT SUCKS TO BE ME - Avenue Q
I love this Avenue Q so much, but I’m posting this just for Kate Monster singing this part:
I’m kinda pretty, and pretty damn smart
I like romantic things like music and art
And as you know, I have a gigantic heart
So why don’t I have a boyfriend?
Fuck!
It sucks to be me!
I saw this in Toronto. BRILLIANT.
Best part: There were three late 50, early 60 year old women sitting next to me. Before the show, they were talking, saying “Oh, this show won a Tony! It won over Wicked, right? Yeah. So it’s got to be good”.
They had no idea what they were getting in to, while my friends and I were mouthing the words to the songs as they came along :)
So my latest art project is a very… unsubtle “Fuck You” to the War, and how the media portrays he military and it’s soldiers.
I’m basically commenting on how there will be a photo taken of a larger scene, but how newspapers will only show a certain part of it instead of the whole picture, in order to evoke emotions and most likely propagandistic ideologies.
“Why show a photo of a soldier on duty, wearing full armour and carrying a loaded and ready gun, when you can just show the soldier? It’s not as though the children in that country matter or anything.”

I never understood how Carrot was there. (Carrot = the white, red head, amongst all the black and Hispanic people).
Things I did during our dress rehearsal today
- Finished reading “Good Omens; The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch”. It was brilliantly hilarious. Read it, I tell you! GO FORTH AND FIND IT.
- Wrote a rough draft of my Christmas Wish List (mostly in the dark)
- Wrote a good copy of my Christmas Wish List (omitted Seth Rogen. My parents won’t find it funny).
- Re-learned the alto lines of a 16+ page song.
- Made a complete fool out of myself with the rest of my vocal class as we Bo-Shoo-Wa-Do-Wopped and line danced to Joseph and his Awesome Coat. :) was still fun.
“What about second breakfast?”
Hey Laura,
If we were Hobbits, I’m pretty sure we’d be Merry and Pippin.
I think I’d be Pippin. Merry’s the more level-headed of the two, right? And that’s, like, you. And I’m the one who does the stupider side of stuff.
Jus’ sayin’.
I forgot how incredibly soothing it was to listen to the Lord of the Rings soundtrack.
The Shire Song is very joyous :)
Mr. Pibb + Red Vines = CRAZY DELICIOUS
